19th 19th Annual Ely, MN Harvest Moon Festival (September 7th – 9th, 2012)
125+ Art & Craft Exhibitors, Demonstrations, Food, Musical Entertainment, All-American Lumberjack Show. Held at Whiteside Park (between 7th & 8th Avenues on Sheridan Street). 2012 Ely Winter Festival (February 2-12, 2012)
Ely's annual winter celebration, which highlights the unique culture, history, art and traditions of the area. You might remember it as the Voyageur Winter Festival. Activities held during the festival include professional snow scultures, amateur snow carving contest, dog sled rides, spaghetti feed, Snow Carvers' Jam, and more. Tuesday Night Live
Tuesday nights in Ely in the summer are the time to be out and about downtown. Sponsored by the Ely Chamber of Commerce and launched in 2003, Tuesday Night Live has become a staple of the community's summer calendar. A number of businesses offr extended shopping hours as well as live music.
